Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 2026
DataMaps WebConsulting LLC (“we,” “our,” “us,” or the “Company”), a registered Wyoming limited liability company, operates the website located at dmwebconsult.com. This Privacy Policy outlines our protocols regarding the collection, processing, usage, and safeguarding of data obtained from website visitors, users of our contact and audit-request forms, and active commercial clients.
Note: An automated website analyzer tool is planned but is not yet available on this site. Today, audit requests are reviewed manually by our team. When automated tools launch, this policy will be updated before they go live.
1. Categories of Personal Data Processed
We collect and process only the data necessary to respond to inquiries and deliver our web modernization services:
- User-Submitted Identifiers: When you use our contact forms or request a free website audit, we collect your name, business name, professional email address, and the website URL you provide.
- Passive Technical Data: Our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) may automatically log server-level metrics, including your IP address, browser type, device parameters, and general page interactions on our Site.
- Client Project Data: For paying clients, we process business content, branding assets, and contact information required to build and deploy your website.
2. Purpose and Methods of Processing
Your data is used for business communication, service delivery, and operational improvement:
- To respond to audit requests and contact-form submissions with a manual technical review and follow-up communication.
- To communicate optimization insights, project proposals, and staged design previews directly to your business email.
- To build, host, and maintain client websites under signed service agreements.
- To improve our internal development workflows and service quality.
We do not currently use automated artificial-intelligence or machine-learning systems to process visitor submissions on this website.
3. Third-Party Infrastructure & Sub-Processors
We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal or business data to external brokers. To operate our services, we use the following infrastructure partners (sub-processors):
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting, CDN delivery, server logs, and (with your consent) cookieless Web Analytics for aggregate usage metrics.
- GitHub Inc. — private source-code repositories and deployment workflows for client projects.
- Unsplash — licensed stock photography on our marketing site, with photographer attribution as required by the Unsplash License.
Each sub-processor operates under its own privacy policy and data-processing terms. We select providers that maintain industry-standard security practices.
4. Data Retention
- Audit and contact inquiries: retained for up to 24 months from last contact, unless you request earlier deletion or a client relationship begins.
- Active client records: retained for the duration of the service agreement plus 12 months after termination for billing, support, and legal compliance.
- Server logs: retained by Vercel according to their standard log-retention schedule (typically 30–90 days).
5. Data Security and Breach Disclosures (W.S. § 40-12-501)
In compliance with Wyoming Statutes § 40-12-501, the Company maintains administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect your business records from unauthorized access or disclosure. In the event of a verifiable data security breach affecting personal identifying information under our control, we will notify impacted individuals via electronic mail without unreasonable delay and in accordance with Wyoming statutory timelines.
6. Your Rights & Deletion Requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing compliance@dmwebconsult.com. We will verify your identity and respond within 30 days. Deletion requests are honored unless we must retain data for legal, billing, or active-contract obligations.
7. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act. To exercise your rights, contact compliance@dmwebconsult.com.
8. European & UK Residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Our lawful bases for processing include consent (when you submit a form), contract performance (for clients), and legitimate interests (operating and improving our services). To exercise these rights, contact compliance@dmwebconsult.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
9. Cookies & Tracking
We use Vercel Web Analytics (cookieless, anonymized page-view metrics) only after you opt in via our consent banner. If you decline, no analytics script loads. Your accept/decline choice is stored locally in your browser so we do not re-prompt on every visit. We do not use advertising or retargeting trackers. See our Cookie & Tracking Statement for details and to manage your preferences.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services change (for example, when an automated analyzer launches). Material changes will be reflected in the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
